Subject: Page Titles missing or inaccurate are bad for placement

Message: There are many factors that effect the placement of your site in the search engines. This can be seen in many sites that tell you, 'do this, do that, do something completely different!'
This site covers a lot of those things a good web promoter keeps tabs on everything, or as many things as possible.
One item you need on your check list is that you have a good, accurate title on ALL pages of your site.
The title is that bit of text that appears on the blue (probably) title bar on the top of your browser window. It should something about what the page is about:
Billie Bob's Widget Factory - Best qulaity widgets in the world
Without a title, a page has a chance of losing position on the web search engine results.
If you do not have such a title on your browsers title bar when you visit your site, make it happen.
Having the same title on every page is not necessarily a good thing either. A title of 15-20 words that include your important key words/phrases for the page will have the best effects.
Ultimately, do not be afraid to adjust the titles to better fit the content of the page. You may even find that different combinations of words in the title help a pages chances of being found on the web.
